In late 2024, Rus Harrison released what would be four compilations that would form four discs - Lifetime, which is an overview of eighty songs amongst the estimated 2,000 that he has written in the last fifty years. According to Rus, it all started when walking home from a school detention when he was just 14 and got the bug then, and some songs were to woo girlfriends, and others that opened doors to tours and all sorts of venues.

The track listing really is a cross section of his many works including Playing At Trains, The Cygnet Ring, Shaker, The God Adrenalin, and plenty more. It is also worth noting that in a number of cases with The Cygnet Ring, the songs are slight edits from the original release versions too - so for example, the original title of Do You Know How I Know is mentioned in the track listing along with a later start to the song. It is lovely to hear a number of them very nicely cleaner than a cassette version mind you, so that is much appreciated. Note there are also large chunks of both Playing At Trains cassette albums: with six tracks from Go! and seven tracks from Oxygen. Shaker is also represented with seven of the ten tracks from the Kiss Me album.

Rus Harrison very kindly sent me along the limited physical release version (huge thanks Rus!) and this comes in a sturdy card box with the album title on the front, along with four discs in slipcase sleeves and a booklet which details more about Rus' career overview but also has lyrics to all the songs as well - which is nice to finally in some cases get the correct lyrics for the songs. It also gives you the date when composed - so for example Néhal dates back to 1984, The Birds from 1988, Rainforest from 1984 and Tell Me What Your Girlfriend Said from 1989. This does show that the creative process for songwriting can take time and certainly shows over time how those songs developed too.

Here's the four disc sleeves from the physical edition - the back has the track listing.:
